The Folly Coffee classic Jo is for the coffee drinker that likes a traditional cup of coffee, but brought up to the next level.

With the light roasting method we use, the high quality beans, and the coffee farms we source from, the Classic Jo has delightful notes of chocolate and nuttiness without the mouth puckering bitterness found in that cheapo stuff (Psst...that stuff is bitter because they are trying to cover up the poor quality of the beans).

The countries and farms (aka origins) we source from rotate to ensure we always have the freshest inventory. This means the exact flavor of the Classic Jo changes throughout the year, but will always feature the more traditional taste profile, but Folly style! Launched in January 2018, Folly was born by a deep passion for high end specialty coffees and a lot of hard work from scratch. Folly Coffee Roasters is independently owned and operated, roasting all of our small batch coffee in Silver Lake, MN (about an hour west of Minneapolis). We started Folly to introduce people to the world of specialty coffee without any of the pretentiousness. Our coffees are among the best in the country and we continue to strive to get better! 

We pay well above fair trade prices for all of our coffees, never roasting commodity grade coffees. Not only does this ensure the coffees you drink are the finest on the market, it also promotes economic sustainability at origin. Through the use of solar panels and geothermal coils, our roastery has a zero carbon footprint. Our only roasting output is natural gas, which is offset by the solar and geothermal energy. We also don't hate a negative electric bill!

Folly Coffee was chosen from among hundreds of the nation's finest roasters as a Good Food Award Winner in 2019. Our coffee has been rated and reviewed as "exceptional" by coffeereview.com. Our coffee buyer and COO, Jeff Mooney, recently placed as a top 15 coffee taster in the country. We take our coffee seriously so you don't have to!
